so far i got the semicolon bind for general radio chat and ctrl+i for twirling. Although these as goon features may need permission, im unfamiliar with legal stuff

Goonstation and Coolstation have the same licensing requirements, so the only thing that's necessary to port anything from Goon to Cool is attribution. (the same is true in reverse).
This is nothing like the TG/Goon quagmire you're used to, thankfully.
As long as ports are correctly attributed, either in a comment in the code or as a comment in the pull request itself, then the attribution requirement has been fulfilled.
