Weird Borg Limb Behaviour

as posted elsewhere:
when playing borg I fell down the elevator a few times and lost a couple limbs.
This is fine, except one of the items I lost was in my "right" hand and no matter what I did I couldn't drop it from that hand and use it in the other available slots.
Tried to activate it to drop it and it just said "you need a right arm for this" and when I tried to move it to another hand it just stayed equipped in the missing right hand

I will note I had 3 items equipped as mediborg when this happened and the limbs that were NOT broken (left/chest) dropped their items while the limb that was (right) did not.
